Something a thousand words miserably fail to explain
Verbs and nouns falling like leaves on the ground
In an attempt to speak the life of this thing.
Something paint and canvas cannot depict
Colours and strokes try
But remain ridiculously far from beginning to make manifest.
Something time cannot tell the length of
Unfathomable by clock or sundial
Too great to be measured
Escapes formula and theory
Sin, Cosine, too finite to derive
With the Equal sign.
So alien so present so filling
Beyond our greatest senses
So much so our hearts just well up
Our eyes fill
Our breaths become heavy
Our knees fail
When this thing we encounter.
It was a death into the life
Of a love of an eternal God.
